It is part of the Timex Road Race Series and the Sun Run Series and attracted more than 1000 runners last year. We are hoping for about 1200 participants this year. The event raises funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and Thunderbirds junior development track programs. It will take place at Thunderbird Stadium at UBC on Friday, June 17 at 6:45 pm for the 5k and at 7:10 for the 10k. There will also be a kid's mile at 6:30 followed by supervised activities. The post race party is second to none, with a barbecue, fruit and vegetable platters, White Spot desserts, ice cream, coffee and juices. There will also be a beer garden on site.
