LETC Fall update

TRIATHLON BC PROVINCIAL TEAM

Congratulations to Joanne Fox & Stephanie Keiffer for making the Tri BC Procincal team for their age groups. Joanne made the BC team for duathlon and Stephanie for Olympic distance triathlon.

The Provincial team is Tri BC's way of recognizing athletes who achieve a high level of excellence in the provincial series of events. This recognition includes team uniforms, and in some cases funding to national championship events.

Well done Joanne and Stephanie!

VANCOUVER TRIATHLON

LETC had a great weekend at the Vancouver triathlon with four first place finishes, and one of them by our youngest member Andrea Reichert in her first Olympic Distance triathlon. Way to go Andrea! Andrea's dad, Clayton was just minutes ahead of her competing in his first Olympic distance event and mom Kathy was in the sprint event.

Also of note, the Vancouver triathlon was Jae Wan's first ever triathlon and from what we hear Ironman Canada is on his schedule for 2007. Hopefully not as triathmon #2...

GRAND COLUMBIAN TRIATHLON

This was Jean Yves' first nice race and Andrew Harlos' first half. We're sure they will both be back for more in '07.

LETC 16 km ITT results

The LETC Individual Time trial Championships were help this past Tuesday night under warm sunny skies and little to no wind making for ideal conditions. While the turn out wasn't as deep as we'd hoped for the results were excellent with a number of personal bests and a few first time LETC 16 km ITT participants.
