LETC Honolulu update October 6th

Here's some updates and photos from the Honolulu crew!

Trip has been good so far, temperature is a humid 80 something Fahrenheit, about 28C, very breezy.

Mary's bike arrived with some unfortunate mishaps and is now in the shop for repair, should be back in action tomorrow morning.

Stan has had a difficult time adjusting to the heat, and often pulls off his clothes in sudden episodes of overheating. The locals call him, El Fresco.

Stephanie arrived late last night with the rest of the Kieffers, and we all conquered the bike course this morning. The bike is a great course, has a short steep section which pales in comparison to Sasamat or Cypress or Stanley Park. Thanks for the steep hill training as we're thinking it will be a big benefit in the race. The 2nd 20 km section of the bike course should be very fast as its mostly downhill. The ride goes right along the ocean, beautiful area, then breaks off at a blockbuster video and mini-mall, we're trying to keep Stan from stopping for Starbucks at the halfway point.

Mike is doing all he can to avoid the lobster tan, which seems inevitable in this sun! Some pictures are attached of the trip so far, beautiful beaches, killer weather, lots nice people.

We've met some folks from Victoria, Edmonton, Ontario, lots from the states and Australia. Stan's been an accent detective.

We hope things are great in Vancouver with all of you, we will write again soon.
