Grand Fondo 2010 - George
For those interested in doing draft legal races, either as elite tris, bike racing under Cycling BC or both, we have a small but dedicated group of LETC members doing the Tuesday Night Criteriums at UBC. These are 30 minute long races with packs ranging from 15 (novice women) to 30 (cat 4 and cat 5 men). The course is a simple 1.5 km loop around Thunderbird Stadium with five corners; three simple sweeping rights (90°), one tight right (90°) and one sweeping uphill right-left dog leg.
Another option is the Escape Velocity Spring series – this an action packed four weeks in late-March and early-April that have races for all ability levels.
So if you feel comfortable riding in a pack and are ready for a new challenge, take off those aerobars and come join us!
